Dough Face Dog Treats

Home-baked, preservative-free dog treats using real ingredients from a trusted source, based in Western NY

The name of Julia’s business came from an episode where her lab, Puck, got into some flour and made a mess of himself. Her original logo was an illustration of that image. But since then, she had realized that the illustration made the dog look scared or anxious. She needed a change. Julia stands out from the crowd because she only offers all-natural, locally sourced ingredients in her dog treats. Because of this, I wanted to keep the brand simple and earthy. We obviously needed a dog illustration somewhere in the brand and I chose to keep the breed of dog a Labrador Retriever since Julia is currently dog-mom to three! I wanted to give her multiple different options for the logos because I knew she had to consider packaging as well as signage for the festivals she attends.

"Melanie asked all the right questions and was able to tease out what is the heart and soul Dough Face Dog Treats. The branding she created hit the nail on the head. I am so happy with my new brand and with the process of working with Melanie as a whole. The confidence I have gained from the guidance of how to use my beautiful branding is priceless.”
